This is a lovely, Lost Wax Cast, Victorian pattern twist doorbell.   It's available in polished brass, an antique brass finish, or an oil rubbed bronze finish. The incredible design clarity has been accomplished through the lost wax casting process (same method as fine jewelry-making).  This piece goes on the inside of the door, while a separate twist bell operator goes on the exterior of the door.

The doorbell operator that would activate this bell is sold separately, in case you may have an original twist operator.
