With shades the spread is 26\".\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\r\n\tThe bottom of the fitter is open, allowing light to fall below the chandelier as well as above.  Fixture uses 4\" fitter glass shades.  Shades are sold separately.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\r\n\t\u003cstrong\u003eShades Are sold Seperate\u003c\/strong\u003e.
