We have designed this torchiere with every Art Deco element for a true Americana original. A Kenk design copyright 2021.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003e\r\n\tThe design elements mostly speak for themselves...but...we do like to discuss them. Art Deco has a few design elements that are recognized as being iconic (being aside from the Streamline and French flowery designs). Those Deco elements are Angularity; fan steps; zig-zag; lightning motifs and of course: points. All of those design elements are represented by this torchiere. There is no doubt about ambiance here.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003e\r\n\tWe believe that a floor area needs punctuations and theme statements. While chandeliers can do this within a room, eye level impressions can continuingly be impacting since we usually only look up once or twice, within a room, while eye level impressions continue simply because they are...eye level. To keep a Deco design theme present, an outstanding torchiere does have an significant impact, as demonstrated here.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003e\r\n\tThe development of this torchiere has been a 3 year project. Mold by mold, design by design and element by element to bring it to conclusion. Matching the wall sconce \u003ca href=\"\/products\/impressive-large-theater-commercial-art-deco-sconce\"\u003e565-ES\u003c\/a\u003e, this Kenk design series continues. Using both the sconces and torchieres, within a room, does make that room Deco Alive.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003e\r\n\tThe torchiere uses the same two shade bridge as the \u003ca href=\"\/products\/impressive-large-theater-commercial-art-deco-sconce\"\u003e565-ES\u003c\/a\u003e but then finds additional elements below. Special designed deco square tube culminating in a heavy design element at it’s base.  \u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\r\n\tThe shades are 9 1\/2” tall (by 7” width) and are normally lit by long tubes that spread the light over the entire length of the shade instead of generating a hot spot.  It does not matter if you wish to use Medium base bulbs or chandelier bulbs since we do give you both options by sending a screw in adapter for the existing Medium size socket to reduce it to a chandelier socket...IF...desired.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003e\r\n\tHere is a special “kicker” for this great torchiere. A solid granite base for supreme torchiere stability. Naturally...this great granite base must be shipped separately from the metal parts and be added onto the torchiere “on site”...by two persons...but the results are truly worth it. Wow! This hexagonal grey polished granite base weighs in at 20 pounds and measures 14” across the points and 12.5” across the flat sections.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003e\r\n\t\u003cstrong\u003eOther Measurements:\u003c\/strong\u003e Overal height: 73”. Head overall width is 22 1\/2” by 7” deep. The base has been described above for floor footprint. Each lamp head has a medium base socket and we will also supply a screw-in adapter to change the socket to a chandelier socket so our long bulb can be utilized which will also be supplied. So...you can go with our supplied chandelier long tube bulb (shown) or choose a medium base bulb of your choice. We like to give options for use.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003e\r\n\tTo give a full operational mode, we have not installed a switch into the torchiere.  Instead, we will include a operational FOOT switch which can be simply attached to the existing power cord. It gives a good distance reach. In this way, the power cord can be directly plugged into a wall socket that has an accessory wall switch, or, plugged into the foot switch cord.
