Hence the creators of the only Art Deco Lighting Museum in the world for American makers.

And for years we have wanted to take one of the finest sconces ever made...and recreate it. But, the glassware was so prohibitively expensive, that we had to delay...until now. Here’s the story of this sconce:

Consolidated Lamp & Glass Co of Corapolis, PA was one of America’s finest glass makers before and during the Great Depression. Unfortunately...Consolidated went bankrupt no less than three times during the Great Depression.

This designed sconce was just being produced in a co-operation with fellow Art Deco fixture maker Moe Bridges and Consolidated, when Consolidated got into trouble during the depression. They went bankrupt. We were fortunate to have a few antique examples which we sold to both maintain our museum and to put into a piggy-bank account for a future production. And here is the result of those piggy-bank savings.

The glassware Design comes from Consolidated’s “Martelé Line” and the recreated sconce comes from Moe Bridges and has a pewter finish with an outstanding Martelé motif.

Overall Light Measurements: 13 1/2” tall by 6 1/2”wide. They project into a room 5 3/4”.

We wired these sconces so each socket is capable of accepting a 100 watt bulb and each sconce does have an original style rotary switch.

Remarkable Consolidated/Moe Bridges recreated sconces. We believe it is hard to find a better single sconce in the world today.

Price: $650.00 each...plus careful shipping.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0813/5799/6269/files/613-MES_Martele-Style-Single-Sconce.jpg?v=1779310262
