While the outstanding shades do dominate the sconces they are nicely complimented with the addition of a brass embossed terminating disk and matching finial to the bottom of the shade. Very effective and just does show the outstanding quality of these sconces. There is the looped arches in the shades, with the looped embossed pattern disk with the looped pattern finial. A nice decorative theme.

When we received these sconces, we were surprised that they seem to have been never installed.

We carefully considered how to replace the single french socket since the light generated simply under-whelmed the shade.

After experimenting with types and arrangements of sockets, we decided to mount an E-12 chandelier sockets to give an even spread of light on these outstanding shades. We stock a special long tube bulb which gives even and widespread light to this wonderful pair of sconces and we will include a full compliment of four bulbs with the sconces.

See the picture attached for the bulb we used and works very nicely.

Our stock number for this bulb is E12-5W27.

As described, these sconces have been totally wired in our UL listed shop. There is no sconce switch as is typical with French sconces.
