from zinc or brass by the Lost Wax casting method (also used for jewelry and fine artwork).  Zinc is same material with which the Art Deco originals were cast.  The metal appearance is akin to a brushed nickel or pewter tone.  The brass versions are slightly stronger and allow for additional finish options.
